Lost Creek Consulting, Inc. has spent over a decade developing a series of products and tools to make the migration, management and interoperability of your Centricity EMR data more efficient, complete and easy to use. Some of these tools may be used independently and some have been created to help capture a thorough set of patient data during the migration and/or conversion process.
LCC ImmsLink Program
LCC Problem Preload
LCC PMAD
NotesLoader
LCC Interface Agents
LCC Cross Reference Editors
LCC Obs Analyzer
The LCC ImmsLink program is a full-featured bi-directional interface that allows you to log into your state's immunization directory from inside your EMR application. ImmsLink is integrated into the provider’s workflow, allowing two methods of entering immunization information to the registry. You can enter imms data in real time directly into the state registry as you see each patient. Or the ImmsLink Uploader component can read your database looking for new immunizations added since the last time the program was run, and then build HL7 records to transmit to the state registry. This transmission can be set to a nightly, weekly, bi-monthly or monthly schedule, depending on what you and the registry decide.
Depending on how your state registry operates, either upload method will eliminate the need for double entries. This allows the provider to stay focused on patient care, not on operating state registry websites. The important distinction is the program reads the EMR database, not the billing database, so the data being sent to the registry is much more complete.
The ImmsLink Reconciler (Downloader) component will read the patient immunizations recorded in the state registry and with one key stroke, download any registry records that are not yet part of your patient’s EMR chart. This will ensure permanent, complete and accurate records for each patient, both in the EMR chart and at the state registry site.

Import your problem list from Centricity PM
You have been using your old practice management system for some time now. As you plan for your “go-live” date with GE’s Centricity EMR, you will need to decide how to get your data into the Centricity EMR system.
Why Problem Preload?
The ProblemPreload encounter form allows you to automatically load your clinical lists into Centricity EMR. This is swift and accurate, as opposed to the slow, error-prone method of hand-keying this data. When your providers see patients for the first time with the EMR, the data is ready to load.
ProblemPreload Benefits
How It Works
When the provider sees a patient for the first time using Centricity EMR, the preload encounter form queries your PM system and downloads the patient’s problems. The provider simply chooses which problems to import. A single click will make those problems a permanent part of that patient’s records in the EMR.
Problems, Meds, Allergies and Directives
Import your data from other EMR systems
Problems, medications, allergies and directives are loaded into an LCCImports database that resides next to your Centricity EMR database server. This data will be accessed through our PMAD encounter form when the provider sees the patient for the first time using Centricity. The encounter form displays a separate screen for each of these four data elements. All data elements are automatically pre-selected and be imported by the provider with one keystroke as soon as they are verified. The provider also has the option to de-select any unnecessary or duplicate information before clicking the import button. Once the import button is clicked, the problems, medications, allergies and directives are imported into the patient’s chart in Centricity EMR and the PMAD encounter form will not reappear for that patient.
Load your dictated and transcribed notes into Centricity with ease with NotesLoader. This tool reads your transcription files and extracts patient and visit information into the EMR via NotesLink files. We build NotesLink files with patient information ready to load into GE’s Centricity EMR. NotesLoader can also be used with historic chart notes, either from another EMR, a transcription archive system, or from Microsoft Word or WordPerfect files.
Some interfaces take effort to implement. HL7 is a good standard for transferring data between clinical systems, but not every system agrees on how to interpret the specification, or can produce HL7 files. An LCC Interface Agent makes the necessary changes to get your systems interfacing together.
Lost Creek Consulting has customized Laboratory, Medications and Immunizations cross reference editors for mapping your lab result ICD-9 codes, meds NDC/DDID and immunizations codes from other EMR systems to the codes utilized in Centricity EMR. These cross reference editors also allow you to run through all incoming result codes that are not mapped so you can assign the correct Centricity codes to them. LCC Cross Reference Editors make managing your cross reference files easy and fast!
In any good system, it is important to use the same terminology. When designing encounter forms, you’ll want to know what observation terms are used in other forms. Likewise, it is necessary to know the observation terms used by your encounter forms when you build any cross reference files.
